I believe that the pupils in Oak House are friendly, supportive and determined. They may not have come first in every competition this year but they have tried their hardest to do their best.
Our House charity has been the ‘The Brain Tumour Charity’ after Poppy, one of the children in our house, successfully had a brain tumour removed last summer. We had two fundraising activities: the Smarties Challenge, where the pupils were asked to earn pocket money over the Christmas holidays, and we also held a cake sale. In total, we raised the magnificent sum of £700 for our chosen charity. We fared very well in the house point totals each term and ended the year coming second overall, being beaten by just a single point!
