Adam King has been at Thorngrove for nearly 15 years and was appointed Headmaster in 2009. He started his career up in the Yorkshire Dales at Giggleswick School as an Assistant Housemaster and moved south, to become Head of English at St. Faith’s, Cambridge. He is an ISI Compliance Team Inspector and is on the District Committee for the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools. Adam has recently been selected to represent the IAPS on the ISEB Academic Committee.

Nick Graham joined the school from The Dragon School, Oxford in September 2017; the largest boarding preparatory school in the UK. Whilst he was there, he was Head of Year 7, Head of Geography and an Assistant Housemaster. He is an enthusiastic sportsman and still coaches and plays for Oxford Harlequins RFC. Nick is in charge of pastoral care at Thorngrove.
Lucy Hanham joined Thorngrove in January 2018 as the Head of English. Previously, she was at Dolphin School in Wokingham, where she also held the position of Head of English. She took over as the Deputy Head (Academic) in January 2019. Outside of school, Lucy enjoys going to Tai Chi classes, where she practises both the fan and sword forms. Lucy is in charge of the academic aspects of life at Thorngrove.
Victoria McSorland joined us when she escaped to the country with her family from Dulwich Prep, London. Since becoming Head of Lower School in 2017, Victoria has continued to teach in Reception. She leads a vibrant and dynamic team with good humour and dedication.
