Thorngrove School was founded in 1988 by Nick and Connie Broughton, the Principals. After several years teaching in London, they decided to move out to the beautiful Hampshire countryside to start their family and set up a school. Due to its success and unique atmosphere the school flourished and grew in size year on year. There are currently 250 pupils at the school.
In the summer of 2009 Mr. and Mrs. Broughton stepped back from running the school and appointed Adam King as Headmaster. The Broughtons remain very much part of daily life at Thorngrove. They are regularly seen walking their dogs (Raffy and Rory) in the grounds and take a real interest in the happiness and well-being of every child. In addition to this, seven of their grandchildren are at the school.
