We are delighted to announce that from this September 2022 our Senior Deputy Head, Nick Graham, will become our new Head of Thorngrove.
Nick joined Thorngrove in September 2017 as our Deputy Head Pastoral and in 2018, he was appointed as our Senior Deputy Head and Head of Pastoral.
Nick grew up in Marlborough and went on to study Environmental Building Design and Conservation at Oxford Brookes University. In April 2021, he completed a two year Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management.
Prior to joining Thorngrove, Nick spent 10 years at The Dragon School. In this time, he held positions of Assistant Housemaster, Head of Geography, Head of Year and was an academic mentor for Winchester College candidates. Nick also currently serves as a Governor at The Hendred’s Primary School, Oxfordshire.
Nick and his wife, Nicola, fully embrace the school’s family ethos and both their children, Georgina and Alasdair, attend Thorngrove. He is a passionate sportsman, who enjoys an outdoor lifestyle with his family.
Nick said; “I am absolutely thrilled to be taking up the role of Head of School and leading Thorngrove through the next chapter of its development. I am passionate about the school and its family ethos. I am excited about engaging the whole community and building on the good work of Adam King, to lead the school towards a bright future. I look forward to developing relationships with the parent body and inviting prospective parents in to see how wonderful Thorngrove is.”
The Principals’ Nick and Connie Broughton commented; “During his time at Thorngrove as Deputy Head, Nick has built extremely good and professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents. We know he is eager to stamp his own mark on the school while at the same time retaining its unique ethos. We are excited about this new phase in Thorngrove’s development and look forward to welcoming Nick to his new role in September, together with his wife Nicola and children Georgie and Ally.”
