Thorngrove has fully equipped Art, Pottery and Drama facilities. These subjects complement academic life and are a valuable part of the all-round development of the children.
Specialist Art and Pottery lessons are included in the timetable from the age of 6 and, as they grow older, the children are encouraged to use the computer facilities for graphic design and art-based projects. Works of the Masters and those of contemporary artists are studied, and trips to Art galleries add to the chidren's interest and critical appreciation.
Dance Drama classes develop the children's awareness of movement, shape and imagination and help to dispel self-consciousness. School drama performances take place several times throughout the year, allowing children to discover possible acting or dancing talent or to be involved in the lighting and stage management aspects of drama productions.
